In honors of Mother’s Day… I’m featuring my mom on the blog for the first time!
For those who don’t know, this blonde bombshell is who I call mom.. She is obsessed with taking pictures! So I thought it’d be fun to dress up and do a little photoshoot with her for this Mother’s Day and share a little bit of why mom is the best mom I could ever ask for..
Happy Mother’s Day, momma!
This person here has taught me so much in life. She has always shown such incredible strength and taught me to work for anything I want. My mom and her family came to America with absolutely nothing when my family had to flea Vietnam (I’ll share my family’s journey to America another day). She never had the opportunity to go to college, but she never let any of that stop her from being successful. She became a business owner, a single mom with three kids, and worked hard to give us a good life so that we could have the opportunities she never had, all the while keeping her business running successfully for over 15 years now. I remember growing up, she wasn’t home often because she was always working, but that’s not what I remembered the most looking back, I remember she would always make sure I had breakfast before I left for school; I remember she would always prepare my lunch for me to take; I remember walking home from the bus stop, coming home to food waiting for me to just warm up; I remember she use to sneak into my room every morning before waking me up for school and snuggling me for a bit. I remember all the little things she would do for me and how hard she worked for our family. I’m eternally grateful for everything she did and continues to do for us. I’m thankful to have a mom that pushes us towards our dreams and goals and is always there to offer support. She inspires me to work hard everyday so that I can one day repay her for everything she’s done for my siblings and I. Thank you for being the best mom anyone could ever ask for.. I love you, ma!
